Privacy Policy

Comixx has no user accounts, no sign-up and no login. We do not ask you for your name, your email address or any other personal detail, and there is no advertising, no analytics package and no third-party tracking script on this site.

What stays in your browser

Three things are stored locally, using your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device and we cannot read them:

• Bookmarks — the series you have saved, with their titles and cover image URLs.
• Reading history — the last chapter you opened for each series.
• A view-counter timestamp per page, used only to avoid counting the same visit more than once within five minutes.

Clearing your browser data, or using a private window, removes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else, so we cannot restore it for you.

What reaches our servers

• A per-series view counter. When you open a series or a chapter, the site increments a single number attached to that series. It records nothing about who you are — not your IP address, not an identifier, nothing that could be traced back to a visit.
• Ordinary server and network logs. Like any website, our hosting and our CDN process the connection data needed to serve a request: IP address, user agent, the URL requested, and a timestamp. We use Cloudflare for delivery and for protection against abuse and denial-of-service attacks, and Cloudflare processes that connection data on our behalf.

Legal basis

For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the only processing of personal data that takes place here is the connection data described above. We rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in delivering the site reliably and in keeping it secure against abuse. Because we do not use advertising or analytics cookies, there is no consent to collect and no cookie banner to dismiss.

Retention

• Server and CDN logs are kept for a short operational period — normally no more than 30 days — and are then deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course.
• The per-series view counter is an aggregate number with no personal data in it and is kept for as long as the series is listed.
• Data in your browser is kept until you clear it.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. In practice we hold almost nothing: with no account and no identifier, we usually have no way to connect a log entry to a particular person. If you believe we hold data about you, write to[email protected] and we will look into it. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Comixx is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that threshold). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because the site has no accounts and collects no profile information, there is normally nothing to delete — but if you believe a child's personal data has somehow reached us, contact us and we will remove it. Some titles in the catalogue carry mature themes and are not suitable for younger readers.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced individually, since we have no mailing list to announce them on.
